The quintessential golf course is St. Andrews Links. This course is often referred to as the 'home of golf' as it was established in 1552 and is magnificently situated in the seaside city of St. Andrews. There are seven courses, three clubhouses, a golf academy, and many golf shops. We recommend starting your golf vacation here as this course is not to be missed. The Old Course is legendary.
The Musselbury Old Course is a historic course surrounded by rolling hills and coastline. This is a nine hole course that was a former Open Championship venue.
Elie golf course is located in Elie and Earlsferry. This coastal town is know for a beautiful beach and waterspouts. The Elie golf course is a breath taking course that is overlooking the ocean.
The Kinghorn golf course is one to keep on your short list. This course is an 18 hole course that is located in Kinghorn which is in Fife, Scotland.
Castle Stuart Golf Links is a scenic course by the sea. It was co designed by Mark Parsinen and Gil Hanse and offers beautiful fairways and several hidden challenges. There is a range and short game area, golf shop, restaurant, and Starters Hut.
King's Course at Gleneagles offers beautiful views, history, and was designed by James Braid. The golf course is accompanied by The rooms at Gleneagles which makes the stay and play an easy decision.
The Cruden Bay Golf Club presents a unique and unforgettable experience. Over the years this course has won many accolades including the Scottish Golf Tourism Award for the top course in Scotland (2015).
The Trump Turnberry Alisa course is an updated, challenging, and beautifully set course where four Open Championships have been played. There is the iconic King Robert the Bruce lighthouse that can be viewed from 4 fairways. Golfers can also stay at the luxurious Trump Turnberry Resort and have five star service.
The Blairgowrie Rosemount Course was designed by James Braid and is where Greg Norman won his first European Tour event at the Martini tournament. There are three courses to challenge chippers to pros that include wide fairways by many dog legged holes.
A lesser known, but still worthy visit course, is Goat of Garten golf course. This course is an 18 hole course set alongside the River Spey in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. There is a Boat Hotel at Boat of Garten that provides comfortable and convenient lodging.
